SCOPE OF WORKS
Refresh your building around the way it needs to work.
A refurbishment can range from new finishes and fitted furniture to changes in layout, services and circulation. We establish what can stay, what needs replacing and how the space will be used before coordinating the work packages.
For occupied premises, we discuss phased areas, deliveries, noisy work and temporary arrangements with your site contact. Nottinghamshire and Midlands clients can involve us early to review the existing building and define a practical scope.

A USEFUL FIRST BRIEF
What helps us plan and quote accurately?
- The areas to refurbish and what currently causes difficulties
- Whether the premises will remain occupied
- Photographs, existing drawings and any known survey information
- Target dates, access restrictions and an outline budget if available
You do not need every answer before contacting us. A location, a short outline and photographs can start the conversation.
PLANNING AND DELIVERY
Make the important decisions early.
We agree a scope that identifies our work, any client supplied items and the responsibilities of other specialists. Access, working hours, approvals and lead times then inform the programme.
Your quotation sets out the assumptions and exclusions. If the scope changes, we discuss the effect on cost and timing before proceeding.
What should a refurbishment quotation include? →SELECTED PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Relevant project experience
Selected experience of Michael Wilson and the delivery team, including work completed before Wilo Commercial Projects Ltd was established.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Before you appoint a contractor
Can you refurbish only part of a building?
Yes. A defined area or package can be scoped independently. We check how it connects with the rest of the building, including services, finishes and access.
How do you limit disruption?
We agree the sequence, working areas and access arrangements before starting. The plan can include protected routes and agreed periods for disruptive work, subject to the needs of the site.
YOUR NEXT STEP
