What we collect and why

When you enquire, we collect your name, email, site location and project message, together with any company name, telephone number, project type, preferred timing or documents you choose to provide. You can also tell us how you found Wilo or who introduced you so we can understand which introductions and marketing are useful. We use these details to respond, assess the work, arrange a site discussion and prepare a quotation.

We process information needed to take steps at your request before a possible contract. We also have a legitimate interest in managing business correspondence, protecting the enquiry service from misuse and keeping appropriate records. We do not add website enquiries to a marketing mailing list.

Please avoid including resident, patient or other sensitive personal information in project messages, photographs or drawings unless we have agreed a suitable way to receive it.

Storage and service providers

Enquiries are saved in our website database and may be delivered to our business email through the services used to operate the website and manage correspondence. Our website uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure; our connected business email uses Google Workspace. Authorised people managing Wilo enquiries can access the details needed to respond.

Some technology providers process information internationally using their applicable data protection arrangements. We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep information

We retain information for as long as it is needed to handle the enquiry, manage a resulting project and meet relevant record keeping requirements. The appropriate period depends on whether the enquiry becomes a contract and whether records are needed for an ongoing issue. Contact us if you want information about a particular enquiry removed or corrected.

Optional cookies

With your permission, we use Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies to understand website visits and measure advertising enquiries. This can include advertising identifiers, interaction data and the page visited. Your form name, email, telephone number and project message are not included in the website's measurement events. Advertising personalisation is disabled in our tag settings.

If you accept optional measurement, we also keep limited campaign details in session storage for the current browser tab. These can include campaign labels, an advertising click identifier, the entry page path and the referring website name. When you submit an enquiry, these details are saved with it to help us understand which marketing generated the enquiry. We do not save full referring URLs or unrelated query parameters. Rejecting or withdrawing optional measurement clears this session information and stops it being attached to future enquiries.

The Google measurement tag is loaded only after you accept optional cookies. Rejecting them does not prevent you using the enquiry form. We save your cookie choice in your browser's local storage. You can reopen Cookie preferences in the website footer and change your choice. Withdrawing permission reloads the page to stop the tag and clears accessible first party Google measurement cookies.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase your information, restrict or object to processing, or receive information you supplied in a portable form.
